Global Information Technology Report 2013 Released by World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum recently released The Global Information Technology Report 2013, the 12th in the series. The report is one of the most authoritative assessments of the impact of information and communications technology (ICT) on competitiveness of nations and citizen well-being. It analyses the impact and influence of ICT on economic growth and jobs in a hyperconnected world.

Included is the Networked Readiness Index (NRI), calculated by the World Economic Forum and INSEAD, ranking 144 economies based on their capacity to take advantage of digital-age opportunities. Topping the list is Finland, which is followed by Singapore, Sweden, Netherlands, and Norway, in that order.

Extensive information is available at www.weforum.org/gitr, including the full report (html or pdf), the full NRI rankings, a short video, the April 10th news release announcement, and other materials.
